In mid-April, a meeting of the heads of branches of dispatch centers of the operational zone of the Central Volga ODU was held in Cheboksary. During the meeting, the results of the work on the operation of relay protection devices and emergency automatics were discussed, issues of relationships and distribution of functional responsibilities between dispatch centers were discussed, problems of operating existing devices, their reconstruction and the introduction of modern relay protection and emergency automatic systems were identified. In addition, as part of the meeting, a visit to the EKRA Research and Production Enterprise took place, where the chief engineer of the enterprise, Pyotr Popov, gave a detailed tour and spoke about new production products.
It should be noted that NPP EKRA has a long-standing and strong relationship with ODU of the Middle Volga. They began 25 years ago, with the delivery of the first prototype of a digital emergency oscilloscope to the 500 kV Azot substation of Samaraenergo PJSC. In October 1999, at a meeting of the ODU of the Middle Volga, the microprocessor relay terminal terminal type BE2704, developed by NPP EKRA, was first demonstrated to a wide range of relay specialists. In November of the same year, at the Kinderi-500 substation of Tatenergo JSC, the first microprocessor-based line step protection cabinet type ШЭ2607 011021 was installed for trial operation. Leading specialists from the ODU of the Middle Volga took an active part in the development and discussion of the ideology of protection systems for lines and autotransformers 330 -750 kV series SHE2710, which were then put into operation at the 500 kV substations “Veshkaima”, “Klyuchiki”, “Kinderi”, “Bugulma”, “Azot”, etc.
