On May 24, a meeting of the Kazakhstan Electric Power Association (KEA) was held in the luxurious hall of the Radisson Astana Hotel, dedicated to discussing the pressing issues of the electric power industry in Kazakhstan.
The KEA committees reported on the work done in 2017 and presented plans for 2018. This time, the agenda touched upon the development of the electricity market, improvement of the regulatory framework and tariff policy, problems of energy producers and regional power grid companies. The KEA Committees on the problems of energy supply organizations and consumers spoke out. Separately discussed was the rule-making activity in the field of renewable energy sources and international cooperation in this area, as well as the topic of energy efficiency.
